I believe in taking a detailed history and using exceptional diagnostic skills to work out exactly where the problem lies. Treatment is aimed towards achieving a full recovery and creating improvements beyond the normal self, no matter what the condition is or the characteristics of the individual are. The purpose of effective treatment is to get the person to where they want to be. This is delivered to a carefully thought out plan, worked out in collaboration with the patient using psychological therapies and medication in a complimentary way.
The pathway to recovery requires a solid trusting relationship with the Clinician. Throughout the process I believe in explaining what symptoms represent, what causes them and why certain treatments are effective. I am also prepared to write independent reports at the patient’s request when needed.
